We had a beautiful and safe ride up to Washington and back for NW star b que, touched bases with a lot of good friends and only one thing could spoil it! Karen and I prepared her bike for the bike show, cleaned and waxed, some of us prepared for a ride up the washington coast, but waited for the "official" opening time for the bike show. and waited and waited, they said they were waiting for a clarification on rules for the show. 20 min late they opened the voting so we voted and left on our ride(except Karen, her bike was in the show, so she went to take a nap) when we arrived back it turns out that she had been disqualified because nobody else was in her class, aparently a long standing rule that the NW directors failed to note till after the voting had begun and we had left, I feel that they could have at least put her bike in another class but...NO! just disqualified! What happens if only one Baseball team shows up??? anyway I turned in my membership card to the exhaulted NW ruler...er... director, Don Premo after he made it clear that he was not willing to make things right.It has been great riding with you all and I hope to continue riding with you in the future, and Star has lost one of its hardest working and most dedicated members (not me, Karen!)
