Bike Fest May 3, 2008 WHAT: Bike Fest ’08 - Our 4th annual event! WHERE: Cottage Grove Yamaha, 120 Palmer Ave, Cottage Grove, OR 97424. (East side of I-5, Immediate left after Taco Bell.) WHY: To celebrate motorcycles, enthusiasts, and riders, but mostly to raise funds for Parent Partnership for Youth On Their Own of Cottage Grove. For various reasons, local teens are finding it difficult to live at home and find themselves homeless (often living in a car or “couch hopping” from one friends house to another). However, these teens know the importance of finishing high school. In addition to the challenge of finishing high school, our area teens are in needing things like laundry detergent and laundry vouchers, soap and personal hygiene products, school supplies, etc. Last year Bike Fest raised over $2000 for this group of teens, and over 400 bikes participated. HOW CAN YOU HELP? * Area Businesses can offer gift certificates and other prizes to be donated for the raffle. * Area Businesses can have a booth at this event. Cost for a booth for this day is $35 for an approximate 12’ x 12’ area. (Pop-Up’s and tables will need to be provided by the business/vendor) If electricity is needed an additional $10 fee applies. A Vendor waiver form will need to be completed and fees paid by April 15, 2007. Time for set-up is 8-9am; take-down/clean-up 4-5pm. Event will be held rain or SHINE! Proceeds of the event go to Parent
Partnership for Youth On Their Own of Cottage Grove.
